Kevin Bridges: Bio
Hi everyone, my name's Kevin. I'm 29 and I live in Gorleston Nr Great Yarmouth (UK) and I like to write and record songs in my free time.
I taught myself how to fart around with a guitar when I was 16 but I've never really gone anywhere with it nor took it too seriously... but I do love it. I've always been a self confessed "lazy player" and I admit my "techincal" knowledge is shockingly poor!. I only ever had one lesson and got frustrated with the teacher and never went back.
I used to play in a local band called "Chango Mutney" and we mainly did cover stuff (ska/punk/rock etc) but I soon started writting a few of my own songs which got worked into our set along with some writen by our vocalist.
As with everything it didn't last and the band split up in true rock and roll style. After that I hooked up with a few other musicians for a short while and worked on a few other songs but it never really went anywhere.
After a while I thought I would at least re-record some of my songs and write some new ones and during this time I found my way on to myspace. There I met The Deceptionist and was soon drafted into joining GLR! With their support behind me I put together a 6 track demo EP titled "Forgotten Answers" which had a short release via ebay on the 13/04/07
Shortly after that I was forced to take some time off due to personal reasons but now I'm back and ready to finish what I started.
I've started playing again with a few local musicians and old friends at open mic nights at my old local. I've also got some new gear and started work on some new stuff so I'll keep you all posted on that.
