Owing to miscommunications Battle of The Harvest initially found itself being issued in many different forms (most of which are now out of print) but we now have a final, definitive and concise official edition to add to the GLR library. Battle of The Harvest is, as has been mentioned, Psychedelic Murder at their tightest. Updated in a similar fashion to Bootleg Deluxe, this album has reached its final stage of evolution and it is a truly epic conclusion.

The Ill-fated GLR edition of Battle of The Harvest combined elements from both volumes of Boot full of Harvest and condensed the overall length to 32 tracks. However, this was superceded by COPM's definitive remaster in August 2008 and this edition is now currently out of print. As with everything P-Murder its worth hearing if you can find it, and is yet another interesting chapter in the long evolution of this record's release.

A Little Off Course pretty much picks up where CT's previous record left off, and in the three months in between Luke's style has certainly matured. The idea for this project came about as an experiment in online recording collaboration; none of the three musicians on this record ever met in person. Recorded between late December 2007 and May 2008 the record commemorates 41 years of Sgt Pepper and celebrates the vast technological advances in sound recording since then. The album artwork and general concept are based around the lingering 'Paul Is Dead' concept/myth.

Bound By Memories, Colourful Thief's second outing at GLR is at least as lively as his last, if not more! Luke continues to carry off his simple acoustic style with ease, shrugging off any errors as and when he plays them - possibly the most organic recording process going. Bound By Memories contains an abundance of catchy Velvet Underground-esque riffs intertwined with methodical guitar arpeggios and instantly memorable lyrics. Release coupled with Sleepless.

BOOT FULL OF HARVEST, Psychedelic Murder's double-disc prequel to the forthcoming Battle of the Harvest is a bipolar monster-LP, comprised of two separate versions of a similar body of music, overlapping just enough for the two to sound completely different. Vol. I was completed at the beginning of December 2007, nearly two months after debut LP Psychedelic Murder!, while Vol. II was released 17 days later on x-mas eve. As a body of work this is impressive, and the sound has certainly been refined since their last outing, but this collection isn't even half as good as the forthcoming Battle of The Harvest LP. Stay tuned, but in the meantime - feast your aural receptors on this!

Colourful Thief's debut album, tentatively named A Changing Swan, now called Love and Sunshine is a light and breezy step into the world of Welsh acoustic artist Luke Kear. And he paints a fairly vivid picture of it through his interesting choice of words and sunny guitar-work. I could throw a few names out there (Chili Peppers, Dylan, Lou Reed) in some vain attempt to explain CT's sound - but none of them would come close or do Luke justice, so the best plan would be for you to listen for yourself... serve with a tall glass of lemonade, some tequila and enjoy.

Mysterious Beatle bootleg fake The Candle Burns is presented here in it's newest incarnation and features alongside a variety of Deceptionist-mixed tracks, including a cleaned up and uni-sped version of the original demo and The Deceptionist's own recording of the track. It provides a new and insightful look into the enigmatic and static-saturated psych requiem, which reveals as much as it obstructs of it's hazy finger-picked history, even without the ominous acetate hiss. 160dB's follow up album, Hawaii Live-O, was the spontaneous result of a recent binge of recording sessions located in drummer Kris's parents' spare-room [above their lounge, might I add] and was recorded one evening in the May bank holiday weekend before an outing to the pub via a cassette-tape recorder and mic, duct-taped to the wall. Present for this performance were Kris's brother and his friend, Kris's cat [deceased], long-time bike-lover Jon and possibly one or two others. In the words of the band's guitarist, Alex: "...it kinda translates as some fucked-up modern-day Let it Be idea, but with a lot of punk contained there-in. I think we went a bit overboard on The Beatles considering this is supposed to be punk, but I guess that's what some might call progression. I don't know what we're doing, really..." This really is 160dB warts and all, 100% sticky tape, no smoke, magic tricks or mirrors - just raw, rough and funny as fuck jams.

UK high-school punk band 160dB's debut album 12 Bearded Germans is the coagulated result of months of mis-spent science lessons, countless lost weekends of stoned epiphany and two years worth of on and off writing/recording. It's title track is a salute to Oi! punk to the tune of a popular festive song; it boasts not one but two bizarre bonus-tracks; the sleeve and lyric-sheet are presented along the lines of some defaced Farquhar parody. In all it's a shocking two-tone DIY nightmare, similar in many respects to NOFX's 1996 EP Fuck the Kids, condensing all 13 tracks and 2 bonus tracks into under 15 minutes. Initially going unreleased, it was resuscitated one year later for an AS project and became the first release on the GLR label on 20th June 2004.
